I have had this jeep for many years and purchased around 1979 as 3rd owner from a old Vineyard fisherman. The jeep has seen most of its life on the beach and I used it to haul lumber when building my house and for trips out to Chappaquiddick Island beaches with the kids. This was a tough old jeep but it finally outlived its usefullness and has sat around the yard now for many years. When it was parked, several years ago the mechanics were fine but the rust was starting to win the battle. I had replaced the sides and floor boards with aluminum parts from a discarded passenger ramp from Northeast Airlines. The body mounts and fender and several other parts are in need of restoration and I would say a new steel or fiberglas body would be the best route to take. I just replaced the starter solenoid but I think it also needs a starter. The engine still turns. In the end this is a Jeep that needs lots of work so I am selling as a parts car for what I paid for the steel top several years ago. These tops are very hard to find but you have to take the whole jeep not just the parts. The engine is the popular V6 engine by Kaiser Jeep and in itself is worth the asking price. I will not ship but can assist loading vehicle, it rolls fine. I am on Martha's Vineyard and you should have ferry reservations. They can be made online or I can make them for you once payment is received.
Engine is complete and turns. Ran fine when parked but no guarantees. You must bring it back to life with care

You should see from the photos that the tub is in rough shape, the frame is rusty but still solid. This would be the perfect candidate for a fiberglass tub. In the end it is a Jeep in need of work but at this point I will consider all offers within the listed price.
